How to Play
- The rule
- Every row, every column and every three-by-three box must contain the numbers 1 to 9, each one exactly once. That's the whole game.
- Filling squares
- Tap a square to select it, then tap a number — or just press a number key. Backspace or ⌫ clears it. Arrow keys move around the grid.
- Notes
- Turn on ✏️ Notes (or press N) to pencil in small numbers when you know a square is one of two or three possibilities. Filling the square in properly clears its notes.
- Helpful highlights
- Selecting a square shades its row, column and box, and every other square holding the same number lights up. Wrong numbers turn red straight away, so a slip never spoils the whole puzzle.
- Every puzzle has one answer
- Clues are removed one at a time, and any removal that would leave the puzzle with more than one possible answer is put straight back. So the puzzle can always be reasoned out — you never have to guess and hope.
- Tip
- Look for the row, column or box that already has the most numbers in it. The fewer squares left, the fewer things they can be.
